At MWA, we understand that not every product is built to last, but we certainly go to great lengths to deliver the best metering solutions to you. We make sure that we stock the products with the longest life possible.
Usually in heat applications, when heat meters monitor buildings, a cost-effective method involves a hot water meter and a calculator. However, as time goes on, these hot water meters will wear and break down after only a few years because they monitor continuous flow.
See below some of the metering horrors we’ve come across in the past few years.
We want to assure our customers that once these meters have stopped functioning, they don’t have to be replaced with the same meter every 3 – 4 years. If you replace your hot water meter with an ultrasonic option from MWA, they will still fit the same footprint as a water meter and operate for much longer.
The benefits of Ultrasonic Metering
Since ultrasonic meters have no moving parts, they can be cleaned regularly, and as such can perform in optimum condition for many years, saving customers money and time that would be spent shopping for a new meter. A recent example of this was when MWA was asked to provide the Corn Exchange building in Manchester with a metering option, as the pipes could not be replaced, so MWA supplied the building with an Itron Axonic heat meter. This meter is well known for being able to perfectly adapt to the needs of district heating and cooling applications.
If you have old hot water meters causing problems and you need a more modern alternative, choose from one of our more reliable ultrasonic flow meters.
